The Education Department of the Gernika Peace Museum, together with the Community of Social Services of Busturialdea, has organised summer camps for children in September. Apart from having fun, their main objective is to educate them in respect, coexistence and interculturality.
Theme: Boga, boga Nilotik. Discovering the cultural and ecological richness of the 11 countries along the Nile
This project will enable children to gain a comprehensive understanding of the Nile and the realities of its ecosystem, promoting cultural diversity, addressing social challenges, advancing gender equality and raising environmental awareness.
- Understanding river floods through an experiment
- Scavenger hunt: exploring the Nile by completing challenges
- Becoming journalists by interviewing people on the street
- Redesigning major riverside cities
- Building a model of the river
- Dancing to local rhythms
- Cooking couscous
Age: 6-10 years old (born between 2016 and 2020)
