The Education Department of the Gernika Peace Museum, together with the Community of Social Services of Busturialdea, has organised summer camps for children in September. Apart from having fun, their main objective is to educate them in respect, coexistence and interculturality.
Theme: Crossing the Andes. Discovering the backbone of South America
To raise awareness of Andean culture and society from an intercultural, social, gender and ecological perspective, fostering coexistence and respect for diversity among children aged 6 to 10.
- Experiment: how glaciers work
- The Quechua language: animal names
- Cooking: arepas
- Handcrafted brooches made from Andean fabrics
- Escape room: expedition through the mountain range
- Challenge games
- Music: musical instruments of the Andes
Age: 6-10 years old (born between 2015 and 2019)
Language: basque
Price: free of charge
