The Basque Government is a Founding trustee of the Gernika Peace Museum since 2002. The members are:
Arritxu Marañon Basarte, Deputy Regional Minister for Human Rights, Memory and Cooperation.
Alberto Alonso Martín, Director of the Institute for Memory, Coexistence and Human Rights.
Ainhoa Zugasti Bilbao, Director of Human Rights, Victims and Diversity.

The Parliament of Bizkaie is a Founding trustee of the Gernika Peace Museum since 2002. The members are:
- Leixuri Arrizabalaga Arruza. Deputy for Basque, Culture and Sport of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia.
- Begoña De Ibarra Zuazo, Director General of Culture of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia.
- Asier Madarieta Juaristi, Managing Director of BizkaiKOA EPEF.
- Substitutes:
- Alberto SANTANA EZQUERRA, Head of the Cultural Heritage Service of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia.
- Encarnación MARTÍNEZ ZAMORA, Head of the General Services Service of the Department of Basque, Culture and Sport of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia.

City Council of Gernika-Lumo is a Founding trustee of the Gernika Peace Museum since 2002. The members are:
- Jose María Gorroño Etxebarrieta. Mayor of Gernika-Lumo (President of the Foundation).
- Jose Ramón Bilbao Catalá. Town Concillor in Culture of Gernika-Lumo.
- Xabier Irazabal Basabe. Town Concillor in Culture of Gernika-Lumo.
- Xabier Irujo Ametzaga. Historian.
- Gorka Endemaño González. Secretary of Fundación Museo de la Paz. Gernika 1937.

If you (as an individual, legal entity or institution) have any important original material relevant to the main theme of the Museum (History, memory, peace) that you would like to donate to the Gernika Peace Museum Foundation, send us your details and those of the materials to be donated as precisely as possible to the following address museoa@gernika-lumo.net specifying in the message heading ”Donation” or by contacting us by telephone +34 94 6270213, fax +34 946258608 or mail (Gernika Peace Museum Foundation, Foru Plaza, 1. 48300 Gernika-Lumo).
Once the information on the possible donation has been sent, the Board of the Gernika Peace Museum Foundation will decide whether to accept it or not. Acceptance of the donation does not necessarily mean that the donated material must be made visible to the public in the permanent exhibition.
