The Forum of Associations in Education in Human rights and for the Peace of the Basque Country and the Spanish Association for Peace Research (AIPAZ) organized a working seminar with three thematic meetings and general assemblies that took place on the 25th and 26th March at the Gernika Peace Museum.
Working day due to the opening of the temporary exhibition STITCHING PEACE: Conflict, Arpilleras, Memory.
This seminar will be approached from different disciplines (psychological, social, cultural…) and will centre on an exhibition of arpilleras and other textiles that bear witness to, act as a form of resistance, denounce, and document human rights violations in conflict situations.

In order to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the bombing of Gernika, the Gernika Peace Museum, the Peace Research Center Gernika Gogoratuz and the Culture House of Gernika, have organized with the sponsorship of the City council of Gernika-Lumo and the Foundation 2012 Fundazioa, the International Art Project for Peace, Kids’ Guernica.
