83rd anniversary of the bombing of Gernika

Under the motto Remembering the bombing of Gernika we present to you the virtual joint program of the Gernika Peace Museum Foundation and the Gernika Gogoratuz Peace Research Center. This 2020, in the midst of a situation as anomalous as that created by COVID19, we will commemorate the 83rd anniversary of the bombing virtually. Both centers (Gernika Peace Museum and Gernika Gogoratuz) have spent many years highlighting what was transmitted by the survivors of the bombing of Gernika. Their testimonies, their desire not to forget, and the transmission of their message to the next generations. The result of this continuous work is all the publications, videos and resources that now appear in this online programme, which will be available on our websites and which, over the course of the 24, 25 and above al, 26 April, we will be unveiling and discovering on our social networks with the hashtag #BombardeoDeGernika2020 #GernikakoBonbardaketa2020.

Help us – this 2020 that we commemorate the 83rd anniversary of the bombing of Gernika but also the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War – to disseminate these materials that will help us to remember and reflect on the wars and their terrible consequences, but at the same time, offer us a message of hope.
