The Gernika Peace Museum closes 2023, the year in which it celebrated its 25th anniversary, with record numbers of visitors.
60,562 visitors visited the Gernika Peace Museum in 2023, 15,912 more than in 2022 and breaking all records (previously achieved with the 53,000 visitors in 2019 pre-pandemic).
- 7,148 visitors came from the Basque Country
- 16,307 from the rest of Spain
- 31,779 from Europe (including more than 20,000 from France)
- 960 from Asia
- 446 from Oceania
- 35 from Africa
