Gernika Awards for Peace and Reconciliation 2016
AWARDS 2016
This year 2016 the prizes Gernika Peace and Reconciliation award were awarded to:
–José Mujica, President of Uruguay between 2010 and 2015.
–Francisco Etxeberria, forensic anthropologist and president of the Aranzadi Society of Sciences.
The town halls of Gernika-Lumo and Pforzheim, the Gernika Peace Museum, the Gernika Culture Centre and Gernika Gogoratuz organize the GERNIKA PEACE AND RECONCILIATION AWARD that award the work of two people or organizations, be they national or international, that stand out for their work in favour of peace and reconciliation.
