81st Anniversary of the Bombing of Gernika
Commemoration of the 81st Anniversary of the Bombing of Gernika with differents events organized by the town hall of Gernika, the Gernika Peace Museum, the Gernika Culture Centre and Gernika Gogoratuz.
26th April, Thursday
-Free admission (10:00-19:00)
–XIV Gernika Awards for Peace and Reconciliation at 12:00. This year two prizes were awarded to Helena Maleno and Daniel Barenboim.
–Guided tour at 13:00h
-Prayer and floral tribute for those who died in the bombing at 4:30 p.m. at the Zallo Cemetery.

Visit of the President of Germany to Gernika
On 28 November 2025, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier honoured the victims of the bombing during his official visit to Gernika.
