Memory and exile

The Documentation Centre on the Bombing of Gernika organises bibliographic exhibitions with the aim of disseminating its bibliographic collections. On this occasion the theme is Memory and Exile.

The victory of the rebels in the Civil War forced thousands of people to move to other countries for political or ideological reasons. Many of them never returned and others suffered decades of exile. This bibliographic exhibition shows a selection of books that record the experiences of those people in exile, told in first person or through testimonies, both oral and written, compiled by third parties.

All the documents on display are kept in the documentation centre and will be available for anyone.
