Gernika Awards for Peace and Reconciliation 2005
The winners of the 1st Gernika Peace and Reconciliation Awards 2005 are:
–Michael Kasper, member of the management team of Gernika Gogoratuz Association from 2001 until his death on April 9, 2005.
–Juan Gutierrez, founder of the Association Gernika Gogoratuz and Director of the Center for Peace Research from 1987-2001.
The town halls of Gernika-Lumo and Pforzheim, the Gernika Peace Museum, the Gernika Culture Centre and Gernika Gogoratuz organize the GERNIKA PEACE AND RECONCILIATION AWARD that award the work of two people or organizations, be they national or international, that stand out for their work in favour of peace and reconciliation.
