The winners of the 5th Gernika Peace and Reconciliation Awards 2009 are:
–Ahaztuak, victims of the coup d’etat, the repression and Franco’s regime.
–Petra Kelly, German politician and peace activist.
The town halls of Gernika-Lumo and Pforzheim, the Gernika Peace Museum, the Gernika Culture Centre and Gernika Gogoratuz organize the GERNIKA PEACE AND RECONCILIATION AWARD that award the work of two people or organizations, be they national or international, that stand out for their work in favour of peace and reconciliation.
