Franco’s repression
On this occasion, the Documentation Centre on the Bombing of Gernika presents a selection of books on Franco’s repression.
After the end of the civil war, Franco established a policy of repression and terror against all those who did not support the regime. Many of them were shot, without trial, filling graves and ditches and others filled the prisons and concentration camps of Franco’s regime. During the dictatorship there was a concealment of the facts and many of the victims are still missing and their families are still searching for them.
